Atherstone Bookshops Sunday Trading

Tuesday, May 8th, 2007 by Geoff Wilding

From 13th May, The Sit-A-While Bookshop and Tearoom, Butler’s Book Emporium and Throckmorton’s Bookshop will be opening their doors on a Sunday for the summer.

Having just distributed a leaflet across the Midlands promoting North Warwickshire’s bookshops, the booksellers have already seen a marked increase in trade from visitors travelling here specifically for books. So with the fair weather starting they’re hoping to bring a bit of life back to Atherstone’s Market Square on a day when it’s usually empty.

To mark the beginning of Sunday trading in the Square all three bookshops are having a sale, with specially selected books at knock-down prices. Regulars and newcomers, locals and visitors are all invited to come along, support the booktown and grab themselves a bargain at the same time.
