Gordon at Dordon

Saturday, May 19th, 2007 by Geoff Wilding

Prime Minister-in-waiting Gordon Brown fulfilled a promise to the party faithful by visiting Labour Party supporters at Dordon on April 27.

Mr Brown spoke with party members for half an hour before flying to his Kirkcaldy constituency.

It was 18 months ago at the Labour Party autumn conference that Mr Brown promised Dordon delegates he would pay them a visit, and he told those present that he was delighted to finally keep his promise

North Warwickshire MP and Solicitor General Mike O’Brien introduced a relaxed Mr Brown to an interested crowd after he had spoken to party members.

The Chancellor spoke of initiatives to combat anti-social behaviour in the area and rounded off with a confident claim that Labour would be successful in the local council elections.
