Council Office Bomb Scare

Staff and visitors were evacuated from NWBC offices on Friday, April the 13th after an E-mail bomb threat .

Police confirmed that the message had been received at 9.15am and they then cordoned off the area to allow a full search of the building.

Speaking to The Recorder, Council Spokesperson Karen Barrow, said,

“We received an email this morning that a bomb had been left in the building. We immediately put into place contingency plans and carried out a full evacuation. After the building was searched, public areas were reopened and staff were allowed to return but asked to report any suspicious looking packages. in their offices.”
