Traders have accused NWBC of petitioning them to have new windows installed at a jewellers shop on Long St. removed.
One of these traders wrote to The Recorder complaining of the actions allegedly carried out by planning officials.

A masked gunman forced a newsagent in Long Street to hand over the contents of the till.
The robbery took place at Gale newsagents in Long Street, Atherstone, at 6.20am on Wednesday. 17th May.

Ex- Atherstone Police Sergeant David Hunter is reported in regional newspapers as demanding action about the number of motorists who park on double yellow lines and footpaths in Atherstone.
The former officer, who lives in Windmill Road, Atherstone, says he is fed up with the number of cars he sees parked illegally .
