Atherstone’s annual fun day event was blessed with glorious weather today (2nd June) when a large crowd enjoyed the many attractions on offer.

Prime Minister-in-waiting Gordon Brown fulfilled a promise to the party faithful by visiting Labour Party supporters at Dordon on April 27.

Grendon residents are still up in arms over controversial plans to expand a rubbish dump on the A5, adjacent to Grendon island.

Mike O’Brien says he is not naïve enough to believe under-age smoking will be stamped out by the government’s latest move.
From October, it will be illegal for anyone under the age of 18 to buy tobacco products. The minimum legal age limit is currently 16.
